What to watch: On Nov. 7, H-E-B will bring its annual Feast of Sharing, a free, holiday-style community meal, back to Midland at the Midland County Horseshoe Pavilion. Families, friends, and neighbors are invited to enjoy a full festive meal in one afternoon of celebration.

Why it matters: For over 30 years, H-E-B’s Feast of Sharing has offered a free holiday meal to all, as a gesture of gratitude and community care. This initiative is a central part of the company’s Hunger Relief Program. This year alone, it aims to serve more than 340,000 meals across 34 holiday dinner parties in Texas and Mexico.

The big picture: Feast of Sharing has become one of Midland’s most charitable efforts, feeding thousands each year while filling the Horseshoe Pavilion with live music, family activities, and the warmth of fellowship. Last year, more than 9,000 meals were served in a single evening. Volunteers are essential to this event as they help run the show, including the preparation and serving of the meals.

Go deeper: The Midland Feast of Sharing will run from 4 to 8 p.m. The dinner is free, family-friendly, and open to all ages. Be sure to arrive early, as seating is first-come, first-served. Those interested in lending a hand can register to volunteer through H-E-B’s event portal.
