What happened: The Legacy Rebels finished the 2025-26 baseball season 18-15-2 overall and 6-9 in district play, placing fourth in district and reaching the second round of the UIL 6A playoffs. Legacy advanced past El Paso Eastlake in the bi-district round two games, two games to one, before its season ended against Euless Trinity (24-11-2 overall and 12-4 in district) in the area round, falling 5-4 in Game 1 and 11-10 in Game 2.
The big picture: During the Rebels’ season, they outscored opponents 230-206 and averaged more than six runs per game while recording 10 games scoring 10 or more runs.
Legacy opened the year strong, starting 11-3-1 through March 20 and winning eight of nine games during an early stretch in the season. Some of the Rebels’ biggest offensive performances included 24 runs against Greenwood and 17 runs against Eastlake in the playoffs. District play became tougher in 6A competition, but Legacy still secured key sweeps over San Angelo Central and Odessa High to help lock in a playoff berth.
The Eastlake playoff series became one of the team’s strongest stretches offensively. After splitting the first two games, Legacy responded with a 17-1 win in the deciding Game 3 to advance. Against Trinity in the second round, the Rebels stayed competitive until the final outs. The two losses came by a combined two runs.
