What to watch: A new restaurant is coming to Downtown Midland by Chef Chip Hight, the longtime Midland restaurateur behind some of Midland’s favorites. Georgie’s Place opens Jan. 26, serving lunch, happy hour, and dinner.
The big picture: Chef Hight, the man who brought us Opal’s Table and The Hemingway, is bringing a new project to town. His latest venture, Georgie’s Place, adds fresh energy to Midland’s downtown dining scene, blending local talent and “Lunch worth leaving the office for. Cocktails worth staying for. A patio made for West Texas evenings.”
Go deeper: Nestled in the heart of downtown, Georgie’s Place aims to offer a welcoming atmosphere with a menu that spans midday bites to evening specials. Hight, known for his innovative takes on American classics, draws from his experience to create a space that’s both approachable and memorable. Reservations are strongly recommended and open on Resy on Jan. 24.
