Lady Rebels pull away late to beat San Angelo Central

What happened: Legacy earned a 42–31 district win over San Angelo Central on Tuesday, Jan. 20. The victory lifted the Lady Rebels to 19–8 overall and 3–1 in district play. San Angelo Central fell to 19–7 overall and 1–2 in district. Legacy is tied with Permian for second in the district.
The big picture: Legacy trailed by one at halftime, 21–20, before tightening the game in the third quarter and taking a 29–27 edge. The Lady Rebels then pulled away in the fourth quarter, outscoring San Angelo Central 13–4 to secure the 11-point win.
What’s next: Legacy will face Odessa Permian (25–5 overall, 3–1 in district) on the road Thursday, Jan. 22. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
