What happened: Midland Classical (9–5 overall) defeated McCamey (1–5 overall) 61–33 on Tuesday, Dec. 9. The Lady Knights led 30–16 at halftime and extended the advantage in the second half to secure the win. Mariah Davis led with 24 points, Maddie Valles followed with 11 points and three 3-pointers, and Brianna Chavez added 11 points and went 2-for-2 at the free-throw line. The team totaled eight 3-pointers and made five of seven free throws.

Davis, the Lady Knights’ senior point guard, signed with the University of Texas Permian Basin women’s basketball team. She has averaged 24.3 points per game for the 25-26 season.
