What happened: Legacy football faced a tough road test Friday, falling 46-13 to No. 7-ranked Allen at Eagle Stadium. The Eagles struck early with three long touchdown passes in the first half and built a 34-0 lead at the break.

The Rebels found momentum in the second half. Hayes Hamm capped a drive with a 1-yard rushing touchdown in the third quarter, though Allen blocked the PAT and returned it 82 yards for two points. JP Reyes later connected with Caden Ellis on a 5-yard touchdown pass in the fourth.

Running back Nic Moore led the Rebels with 89 rushing yards on 11 carries. Hamm added 59 yards on the ground, while sophomore Ja’Braylen Anders paced the receiving corps with 44 yards on three catches.

Reyes finished 12 of 29 passing for 102 yards. Defensively, Legacy held Allen scoreless in the third quarter before reserves saw action late.

Legacy (0-1) travels to face No. 14-ranked Euless Trinity on Sept. 5.
