What happened: Midland High volleyball showcased its serving strength Tuesday, racking up 16 aces in a straight-set sweep of Pecos. The Lady Bulldogs rolled to a 25-7, 25-9, 25-10 victory at the MHS gym.

Junior Haylee Davis led the way with five aces, while Mabry Scharbauer and Zaylie King added three apiece. Cady Lange contributed two aces, and Emily Caro, LaneyKate Johnston, and Lillian Earl each added one.

Earl also paced the offense with 22 assists and five kills, while Scharbauer led the defense with eight digs. Johnston, Earl, Georgia Gray, Halle Cumbie, and Victoria Azarov each finished with five kills as the balanced attack pushed Midland High to 22-7 on the season.
