What happened: Midland Classical Academy finished third in the Silver Bracket of the Fillie Fest Tournament in Denver City over the weekend. The Lady Knights went 4-3 overall across two days of play.

MCA opened with a sweep of Levelland (25-10, 26-24), then dropped matches to Graham (25-22, 25-18) and Pecos (12-25, 25-21, 25-23). The Lady Knights bounced back with wins over Amarillo Highland Park (25-23, 25-17) and Amarillo River Road (22-25, 25-21, 25-19). MCA closed with a loss to Idalou (25-22, 25-22) before securing third place by defeating Ropes (25-16, 25-15).

The Lady Knights take a week break before traveling to Fort Stockton on September 12th.
